“Gypsy Passport” is the name of one of his songs and if anyone deserves a “Gypsy Passport” it is Branko Galoić. As a young man the Croatian singer-songwriter left the former Yugoslavia and set off for the West with nothing but the hope of a better future. Branko’s current trio from Paris reflects the global mix of the metropolis on the Seine: A Croatian and a Portuguese guitarist create with an Iranian percussionist a completely atypical Balkan sound.
